Near the villages of Mary Tavy and Peter Tavy, obviously there is the most fantastic countryside and walking on the moor to enjoy. Other local activities include horse riding and paragliding. We are also no more than 40 minutes from the beaches of North Devon and Cornwall. Tavistock is a wonderful town to visit, having been voted the UK’s best market town in 2005 and is renowned as one of the best towns in the South West for local food and produce. Further afield there are well known attractions such as the Eden Project near Bodmin and the National Aquarium in Plymouth.
